Keeping It Real - Introduction to Adair Gautreau
Posted on July 16 2018
Hey there! My name is Adair Gautreau, the owner of Love Life Soap Co. I decided to re-introduce myself, the face behind the brand, for those that don’t know me.
We will call this “Keeping It Real”. Social Media is a finely curated slideshow of what we want everyone to see. What you don’t always see is the real people behind the scenes. So, here are a few things that you might not know about me and my brand.
I stumble out of bed every morning at 4:30. Coffee in hand, hair a mess, PJ’s still on, it’s nothing pretty. I’m lucky if the day goes halfway right. As a small business, we wear so many different hats and some of those hats don’t look so good on me. I challenge myself to learn something new everyday so the every day going forward goes a little smoother. One of my favorite hats to wear is my creator/production hat: coming up with concepts and testing out ideas for new products. Oh, how I love new products!
My compassion hat is another one I love to wear. Helping others is what makes me tick and giving back to the community and seeing others strive to be the best that they can be is what it’s all about! This year we created our Give Back Bars that we donate to homeless shelters and local food banks. I hope these travel size bars will give people in our community the opportunity to experience natural skincare (maybe even for the first time). We also are well underway with our BAR 4 BAR promotion, where for every bar of soap you purchase, we will donate a full size bar to the Blue Star Mothers of Louisiana.
I’ve set goals to work with our youth in the upcoming months. I would love to giving them the opportunity to see their dreams come true. Teaching them how dedication and hard work can payoff. Stay tuned as I explore this path as well.
So….by the end of the day I might look just as frazzed as I did when I got up, but that’s okay! One thing I have learned to embrace both my successes, and failures. I tend to learn much more when I stumble, as we all do and if you look hard enough, there is a lesson in everything we do. Stumbles have taught me to get back up and dust off my knees and try again. Tomorrow will be another opportunity to make it right and better.
One other thing you might not know is I love music. There are those certain songs can say the things that I am unable to express. If I had to pick a piece that is an accurate depiction of myself, it would be “She Used To Be Mine” by Sara Bareilles.
That is a little insight into my daily life, what makes me tick and my life isn’t perfect but it is mine. So, at the end of the day I say you just have to “LOVE LIFE” and all it brings to the table.
